Wink Introduction

I think I posted in the wrong thread earlier....so here I go again!

Hello! I am brand new to the world of Embrodery and Applique. I started about two months ago just for fun, learning off my friend's machine. I have fallen in love and ready to start taking the next step!

I found this message board via google and am looking to do research about machines, shirts, fabric, thread....pretty much everything!

First things first - I need a machine and have given myself a month to find/track one down. I have a few questions to throw out to the board :

I am only going to be using it for friends, nieces, nephews, and my two little ones not for a business, what price range should I look in?

Is it ok to buy off of Amazon, craigslist, or ebay? Should I use a dealer?

Where can I get the best designs?

What other accessories, will I need?

Thanks and looking forward to meeting everyone!!!

Default Re: Introduction

Hi Alicia - Do you have a machine you've been using for the last 2 months or have you been using your friend's? What kinds of items do you plan to embroider/appliqué for your family?
