Default Just getting started!

Ok--

I have recently purchased some screen printing equipment. I still need some other pieces of equipment to get rolling. I need drying racks and storing racks for my size 110 mesh screens. I also need some sort of washout booth or sink for the reclaiming process. Any suggestions on converting my garage or spare room that I am setting up shop in would also be great.

Thanks

Goldie

You dont necessarily need drying racks right away. I stack my screens horizontally with money stacked on each corner of the screens. I do this when i am coating them, and when they are dry I just cover them with a bunch of blankets to keep them out of the light. I would really suggest to get some 156 mesh screens. 110 are very poor for getting good quality. As far as reclaiming goes, just use an old washout tub for your washing machine. you know the plastic ones that are deep. Set up some kind of parimeter around the outsides of it to keep the water in. Hope that might help a little

Thank you for that info. Would you happen to have a picture of the washout bin you are suggesting I get? I would love to have an example before I go hunting for it. Also I am trying to decide between turning my garage or spare bedroom into my work area. My dilemma is that the spare room has carpet and no real way for me to wash my screens. I guess I could get the make shift wash bin that you are suggesting. The other thing is my garage has plenty of space and also a nice size sink...but no air and I live in Texas. It gets very hot and I don’t want my shirts to smell like the garage. Any suggestions on what might be the wisest idea? I appreciate your help. If typing becomes a bit cumbersome please feel free to call. 214-636-0626
Either way I appreciate your suggestions.

Thanks,

Aisha
