Parting out Kornit Thunder 932
State/Province:
Nevada
City:
Reno
Kornit Thunder serial #932-284
If you need any parts to keep your machine going, I can pull them off for you.
Print heads are $250.00 each.
This machine was printing beautifully until about a month ago. It now has some type of electrical issue. It started with having an issue warming the print heads. Now, it will print, but it prints odd lines over the full length of the platen, or weird tracks of color around the print. I've attached a picture of what it is doing.
The print heads were all printing perfectly though, I worked on it for a while to try to get it going, and still turned it on and did a head wipe every day.
All of the heads have been flushed very thoroughly. That was just done on 8/12/19. Every head flushed perfectly. Attached is a picture of fluid flushing through the head to show all nozzles are clear. All of the heads had all nozzles clear.
I just purchased ink for the machine before it started acting up. I'm seeing if Kornit will accept it as a return, but if someone is interested let me know. I have
15 bottles of white
9 bottles of yellow
9 bottles of magenta
7 bottles of cyan
11 bottles of black
That's $1746 in brand new ink
There is also about 2.5 gallons of fixation agent.
I also just purchased the yearly preventative maintenance kit which was $1500. Again I'm trying to have Kornit return it, but haven't heard back yet. If interested in this please let me know.
There are also 3 additional print heads that will come with the printer. These heads were flushed and replaced in October of 2015. The previous owner of the printer has this done by a professional technician when they purchased it.
I have a youth and adult platen. The youth platen has a styrofoam top instead of aluminum, but still works just fine. $100 for adult, $50 for youth.
The printer has a little over 59,000 prints.
