hi, you have asked this question in a few different threads.. I personally am confused as to what exactly you are wanting to do... ANY embroidery machine can make patches. even home sewing models. Volume would determine what size machine, how many heads, etc. price and local professionals who can service your machine will determine the actual model you buy.

Unless you are talking about making Chenille patches?
Are you talking about a merrowing machine to create the satin edge on a patch?
Maybe you are trying to do chain stitch patches?
Or old school patches are done by freeform machines where the operator uses their foot and knee to control speed and satin width and guides the fabric by hand under the needle to create large jacket back patches??

provide a little more information and I am sure someone on here can help ... but just saying "patches" is too broad a product line.

Robert Young
Have a question for you, what do you mean by making chenille patches? I'm looking for a efficient way to attach chenille patches to letterman jackets sleeves.
is there a machine out there that can do that?

Hi Gabriel,

Yes Tajima makes a chenille machine, $20,000 +

We make chenille patches in house, if you are interested in patches, please contact us. What part of the country are you from?

Thanks

Gabriel,

Sorry did not read your question correctly, to sew the patches to the jackets you need an industrial sewing machine.

Thanks

Gabriel, sorry I don't know of another way that is efficient other than what you are already doing. Maybe if you are applying the patch BEFORE the garment is made? then you could use an emb machine and digitize around your chenille as if it were an applique?

Gabriel,
Robert is correct really with his reply above. Can I ask you a question, we make our own chenille patches here and we make some for young women with sequins sewn into the design is this something that might interest you?

Thanks

Thank you Robert and fwscreener. My main business is chenille embroidered patches for high school jackets. I use my embroidery machine to attach to front and back real quick using appliqué technique however can not do that in sleeves. I use industrial patch machine for it but is just time consuming, I was just thinking myself if there was a quicker way to do it. I purchase the jackets already assembled and do not want to get into dissemble the jacket, would be a pain....

Hi Gabriel,

You are 100% correct, my question is we make chenille patches at our shop. We also make chenille patches with sequins in them that you can sew down. If you are interested we could send you a sample. Dance and cheer girls love them.

Thanks
