I wouldn't. I spend a lot of time in China and most decent factories use Japanese machines, they laugh at Chinese machines. Likewise they all press with Geo Knight and Hix....
Commercial machines for a commercial job.

As true as this sounds, does anyone has a contrary opinion or should one practically assume that not a single China Embroidery Brand is worth a dime!!!!!!

Generally speaking, you can get a Chinese machine for a little more than half the price of a Japanese machine. The big question is what quality of a machine are you getting and is it worth the difference in price. Here are some things you might want to be aware of when you consider buying a Chinese machine.

The majority of the Chinese machines seem to be made using the same software, patents, and designs. Some of the machines are made in the same factory and rebranded using another companies name. For the most part the parts from one brand are interchangable with another.

The huge difference in the various Chinese machines are the "Fit and Finnish" of the machine. Companies order these machines from China with various specifications. Much like ordering a car from a factory with this type of stereo, tires, motor, etc... companies order their machines with this type of tensioning system, x-y motors, cutting solenoids etc... What you end up with is the same basic machine chassis with a lot of the working parts changed. The quality of the parts and how they are put together is what I refer to as the "Fit and Finnish" Quality control is a make or break factor with Chinese machine distributors.

When a Chinese machine is tuned correctly and working properly it can throw as good or better stitch as any machine on the market.

I have customers that own, love and swear by their Chinese machines, I also have customers that own, hate and swear at their Chinese machines.
