Default Looking to screen print signs.

I am looking to start screen printing signs on coroplast. I am looking for advice on where to buy my supplies, what type of equipment to use, etc..

Namely: What type of ink do you use? I have read about Nazdar inks - Do I need to mix these myself to create the colors they do not have stock? How do I do this?

Do I need a conveyor dryer or can I just let the signs air dry?

What exactly is a flash cure unit used for?

Thanks,

Henry

Default Re: Looking to screen print signs.

i would use a higher mesh count...higher than 110. we're in canada and we use a company called screentech for our coroplast ink. i don't know anything about mixing the colours for that type of ink. you can also get the thinner for thinning that type of ink. they air dry, faster if you put them in the sun when it's warm out. a flash dryer is used when you have to 2x hit a print like a white print on black garment or when doing a multi coloured design. hope this helps

Nazdarฎ 9700 series works great when we print on our polystyrene stock.
It air dries in about 15 to20 minutes but we send our down our conveyor dryer set at 100บ for 60 seconds with the flow fan set on high. That way we can stack them up.
