Default M&R 6/8 Sportsman or 8/10 Diamondback

I am a one/two man shop out of my garage and plan to stay this way for the forseeable future. My decision on which auto to buy is diven by space constraints (22x20 open area) and keeping noice to a minimum so not to bother my neighbors. (will be using a rotary screw compressor either way).

Looking for advice on wether to purchase a 6/8 sportsman (all electric heads) or an 8/10 diamondback (pneumatic heads).

My basic question is: Is a 6 color sportsman preffered over an 8 color diamondback.

any input would be greatly appreciated. I am planning on moving forward with purchase in next 2 weeks.

thanks

In that small of a space you may want to look more into the Diamondback L or the Anatol Titan.

For us it would do about 98% of jobs that we do.

If you have the floor space more colors is ALWAYS better. Just a FYI

Yes more colors are always better but in a 22x20 space I would be concerned with being able to move at all with those bigger presses.

Go for the Diamondback. We had to make the same decision and chose the Diamondback. You will not regret having more colors then you think you need. Especially when it comes to printing band shirts. As a matter of fact we could have done with a 12/10 on some occasions. I don`t think it`s wise to buy a auto and then having to turn down jobs because you don`t have the capacity. Keep in mind you will loose one head by installing a flash even though we worked around this.
