And probably will be up for sale for some time. Even at that price it would take quite a while just to pay for the machine. Second, it is like watching paint dry as far as production rate. Third, once you cost out the labor, materials, and ROI no one wants to pay what would be a reasonable charge for this type of decoration. Fourth, this is usually set up on a dedicated auto. Its not a "plug in friendly" device. Fifth, flock as a decoration has pretty much died out for the above reasons plus the fact that there are washfastness issues.
Those flock/foil machines were cool to watch at a trade show but pretty impractical from a production standpoint.
Maybe someone offshore will pick it up.

I once was. Sadly the trades have declined both in volume and content. Maybe fiction one day.

You wanna start writing articles for Spider Machines <--- $1,000 each -but- unfortunately you will then be labelled a "sell out"

Tony, IF you dont have something nice to say why say anything,

inrespect to your artical you wrote you are very wrong just in southern california were we supply supplies to 100,s of printers including 3 of the largest printers In the usa 19 autos, 17 autos 20 plus autos, i know of 6 shops running flockers 2000,s and they get a premium price per shirt the presses run fairly fast with no mess when you know what you are doing its a 10-15 minute install thats all, flock does have a limited market but so does every other specialty application belt printing, etc, but if you are doing flock ,manually with a wand or a schenk booth the flocker 2000 is like a dream to use almost no mess, and to reply to your comment about the masher made by graphic automation to apply foil automatically there are hundreds out there, and for certain applications they save the company big money I have run them in production my self and we were running foil as fast as the machine could print one extra person but the income generated by the press just in a few days of large runns payed for the unit, also to let you know graphic automation still makes and sells a lot of mashers(automatic foil inline units) to repeat customers who have found the easy and right way to use them just like may be you have seen in the trade shows, I have seen them in actual REAL LIFE PRODUCTION, one LAST THING this flocker 2000 has only been for sale for a few months not a long time and we have receved 4 offers and have not accepted them 3 of them in the usa one in thailand, all the companies that were interested are currently running maag in line flocker units or m&r flocker 2000, s in production dailly, flock is a specialty application but if you have the clients that need it you can make good money every print useually generates 3-4 times a regular platisol pink print revenue

AVERAGE CHARGE FOR JUST A ADDITION FLOCK PRINT ON A GARMENT IS IN EXCESS OF $1.75

SO GET YOUR FACTS STRAIT ANYONE CAN WRITE YOUR OPINION BUT IF YOU HAVE NEVER RUN THIS UNIT YOUR SELF DONT PUT IT DOWN, I am sure you have probably seen one or 2 in shops i have seen lots of machinery in lots of shops, who used them wrong and basically threw them in a corner due to operator not knowing the proper way to use them,

I do know flock i have 3 SGIA Golden image awards in my younger days at Collegiate pacific gardena ca with flock/ ink prints, it was too bad there were no flocker 2000 back them it was very messy by hand

Also flock is used at almost every single university in the USA on there shirts besides so many other companies

DO SPOMETHING PRODUCTIVE WITH YOUR TIME.
PLEASE DONT START ONE OF THOSE BS BASHING REPLIES TO THIS JUST DROP IT GO SELL SOMETHING
