Wow. I knew someone way back who had that machine. Probably around 1995! I think he orginaly bought it in the 80s (remember the 80s? lol). As far as I can recall it had no trimmers. I do remember that he did caps on the machine, but I don't remember how. I know the machine is not tubular, maybe he did them in unfinished state (panels only).
I think buying a used commercial machine is a good idea because they are built to last. However, I think you would be off to a bad start if you can't find much information about them. |

If it's taking a floppy, doesn't it automatically mean it is PC compatible? I agree with royce, buying used is good, but there has to be some sort of limit. It's not like buying used old cars because there's actually a market for classic cars. What I mean by that is, what if you need crucial parts? I don't know the inner workings of commercial machines, but what about maintenance? Do you need a technician who specializes on much older embroidery machines?
If I were buying a used embroidery machine, it would be manufactured from 1995 and up. It would cost more, but it would definitely give me peace of mind. Last edited by Samantha Rose : February 20th, 2006 at 07:27 AM. |
