Question Need Help!

OK, I just bought a used Toyota 860 12 needle machine. During a design, I got a needle break, fixed it and when I turned the machine back on, I got a needle case error. I have done EVERYTHING in the manual. I even tried to clear the memory and nothing has worked. Help if you can PLEASE! I cannot afford for an expensive tech to assist me at this moment & I REALLY need to get this thing going. If you are someone that lives near Birmingham, AL & can help me at a reasonable cost, that would be great too

You didn't hit a hoop did you? If so you may have done damage to the reciprocator arm. Grab the needle bar and move it up and down with your fingers a few times? Does it feel smooth, or is it clunky and crunchy on the way up/down? It should be smooth.

Also, its a one in a million shot, but it has happened to me, did you find the broken piece of needle??? If not, the broken piece of needle may have wedged itself in the hook, in which case, you will have to take the hook apart and re-time the machine. I highly doubt this happened, it is VERY rare, but it happened to me once a few years ago.

I felt like an idiot when I had the Barudan tech come out, and he noticed it within 5 minutes, he said he had only seen this happen once before in his 20 years at Barudan. lol Just lucky I guess.
