Default Need Help with embroidering HATS

I have a brother pr600 with the hat attachment. I have been trying to embroider hats front and words over the back opening. I am having major problems. Any tips or suggestions would be of great help.

I have the PR600 and by no means an expert, but what I do is have 3 or 4 layers of underlay as I find it pads the cap a bit more in the cap frame and stops it puckering. It's also best to start your design from the centre working out and up. As for the back and sides, I usually just use the smallest hoop rather than the cap frame - bit fiddly but possible. Maybe the more experienced will have better ways, in which case, I'd be interested too although I seem to get on OK my way! Hope this helps.

yes, start the design from the bottom middle point and go up to the left and right. that will really help to hold the cap from puckering.

What specific problems are you having? Digitize center out, bottom to top, fills first, remove or enlarge small text, maximium height 2", pull tightly when hooping, add additional backing to take up extra room, slow down machine speed, start design slightly off center if breaking needle when starting, try 80/12 sharp needle if breaking needle. For backs I use Fast Frames but a small hoop will work. Some people generate a template for the cap back to use to get the correct arch. I print off the arched text & see if it matches up before embroidering. Detatch back closure before starting.
