Exclamation Need help with new Brother PR-600 II

Just bought my Brother embroidery machine and I need help!

When I go to sew, the thread bars keep wanting to go to an empty thread bar where I don't have thread and don't need thread. I have read the darn manual over and over but it's not explaining how I can cancel thread bars. I only have 3 colors in my current pattern but the machine keeps taking me to 4,5 6.

Can someone please help?

If it's the same as the PR600 I, then you can set the colours for each needle. Once you select your pattern on the touch screen, go to what looks like a page right at the top left corner of screen, then touch the little hand at the bottom right of screen, the one that's pointing right, do that twice. You will then get the 6 needles and colours, touch number 1 needle, arrow up and along to colour you want which should be same as in pattern, touch set then reset. Do the same for each needle. Then touch OK. Enjoy your new machine - I love mine. Mino
