need help with SWF machine

hey all, my name is chris and i have a problem with my 2007 SWF embroidery machine. i am getting a error code #901 communication error. previous to this happening the machine started to make weird noises while moving left to right as if metal on metal was rubbing;. Now my machine wont move left or right. If anyone out there can help me out that would be great

Do you remember how to fix this 901 error? New to me machine just gave me the 901 error on swf

SWF is notorious for cables in back coming loose due to stress hanging down. Tie up the cables in the back to take the pressure off. As far as the grinding you are hearing when yo move the frame it could be the Y motor-that's another problem I see on SWFs during service

You know, I never had an SWF embroidery machine, but on my Janome Memory Craft I also saw error 901 several times. I disconnected the machine from the mains, switched it on again, set the program again and the machine continued to work. Now I suspect that there is a better solution to this problem. If you know what to do with SWF, then maybe you also know what to do with my Janome Memory craft...
