Need Help With Toyota 850 "Needle Case Error"
Hello All! I am a *new* member & found this forum while trying to google an answer for the issue I am having with my Toyota 850. I have only had this unit for 1 month & due to time constraints, a real job & part time "Nana Duty" while my daughter is in grad school, I have not had a whole lot of embroidery time.
Last night I was embroidering on grosgrain ribbon backed with Floriani Heat N Sta (which is per the instructions on the literature from Hope Yoder) Anyway...I don't think my problem is from sewing on ribbon becasue I successfully made 3 designs. No issues. Working on the 4th, exact same colors as the other 3 in the exact same sequence...when the embroidery (top) thread started looping & then it wadded up under the embroidery piece & above the cover plate of the bobbin. When this occurred the unit stopped & when it stopped the needle came out for the needle arm & was stuck in the bobbin. I pulled it out. Looked at it pretty close & then re-installed in the needle bar (the bar the needle assembly is in when it's the one being used for stitching) ...I took the hoop off & removed the embroidery. There was no other way to get the wad of thread loose other than to cut it. After I got that far, I pulled the bobbin out & everything looked okay but I replaced it anyway. I cleaned out the bobbin case & reinstalled the bobbin. The unit still keeps beeping & the LCD screen displays "Needle Case Error" The flywheel in the back moves freely & the needle bar goes up & down & through the hole tot he bobbin..... And I can't figure it out. I don't even know where to look for a RESET button.
I tried calling the seller today (place in Houston) & they must be off today or something becasue I couldn't leave a message on thier phone system & I even sent a FAX & I still have not heard anything back. Doesn't mena they won't call, they just didn't call today & I was sure looking forward to working on my projects this weekend.
I am a newbie @ this, so I appreciate any & all help from more experienced machine embroidery owners.
Sam
