Unhappy New digitizer needs help with design

I have been an embroiderer for over 10 years, but I only been digitizing a couple months. I have a job of a large center patch 10 inches in diameter and it is very flat in color. After spending over 3 weeks digitizing this design, it is still not what it should be. I am at a loss as to how to bring out the fur and the color in this design, and even though he is a friend, the customer is getting antsy and wants his patches. I am asking for some much needed advice/help on this one please!! I will be happy to send the file for someone to look at and give me some ideas how to make this design look the way it should. As of now it is 125,000 stitches. I appreciate any help, criticism or advice. Thank you for your time in advance.
