Default newbie help needed

Why is it that every time I try to print the colors don't match up. It's not a problem of being out of register. The entire screen is ridiculously off from one screen to the next. Like the stencil isn't burning right.

So I've got kind of a homemade setup, but I followed others' instructions: a black cloth underneath, then the frame, the stencil on top, a piece of glass to hold it down, and a light.

But when I wash them out, they're just different from the patterns I make. It's making me sick. Please help.

Think it has something to do with where I'm placing the light? 'Cause I've been setting it on one side for an hour and then turning the screen around for another hour.

What I'm saying is that it is a problem of being out of register, but not merely that. The stencils on the different screens are so off that there are enormous white lines separating the colors where they're supposed to meet. Even though the transparencies I've created themselves seem to match up.

Films may not be dark enough or you could be overexposing and undercutting the edge of the emulsion or the light is shining on an angle and exposing the emulsion under the stencil.

Well light is definitely shining at an angle. Two angles, to be precise. I thought of that after I made the post. Thanks I'll give it a shot.
