Hi all,
i've been reading a few of the threads on here and i decided to join as you seem to know what you're talking about. My wife has just bought a Singer Futura CE200 and i'm intrigued to know how to get it to embroider my company logo onto a t-shirt, sweater, fleece etc. I've installed the software that came with the machine including the 'AutoPunch' digitizing program. I've tried to digitize our company logo but it just turns out as an illegible blob on the shirt although it looks o.k. on the screen. I get to the point where it tries to determine the number of colours to use and the image just loses all definition after that. There's no tiny lettering to cope with or anything really intricate but i just don't seem to be able to create the effect the manual says you can. Help! Also, is there any real trick to placing the shirt (and backing) in the hoop, as it just seems to stretch and stretch and the needle just destroys the cloth. I'm probably doing something really stupid and obvious but any help would be really appreciated Logo attached for reference. Thanks, Karl. FitOptLogoOval.bmp |

Hi Karl,
Congrats on your new machine. What i see reading your post is something to do with the appropiate density and pull of the digitized design. Try reducing the density and give it a try. Make sure you have a good quality stablizer at the back. Digitizing is it self a very cumbersome process. If the digitizing is not done professionally it could damage clothing as well as have a very poor quality embroidery. Try lowering the density and let me know. Give me a call if you need any help with digitizing : (813) 579 5797 Or you can add me to MSN for live chat Or send me an email (see my signature).

Emb. Thanks for the info. I found that the image i was digitizing was not good enough quality for the job although it was fine to look at on screen. When the edges (blurred colours) were removed by the colour picker, it lost all its definition and the embroidery just increased the effect further.
I'm currently trying to get the autopunch software to increase the stitch density as it seems adamant that i can't or shouldn't for some unknown reason. The stitches are coming out too far apart so an 'O' ends up looking like a star with lots of points instead of a nice solid shape. I will get it!!! I won't be beaten. Thanks for your help. Karl |

Karl,
Autopunch softwares are good for texts, i advice you download a demo version before buying it. If you could send me the artwork file at the email address in my signature, i could have a look at it and give you better advice. Regards Sahel
