Newbie wanting to absorb knowledge.

Hey all, I'm Don from Dallas, TX.. New to sign making but am enjoying it considerably. I'll be in the market for a new printer soon, I home office so looking for recommendations for printers that can run in a home environment, especially with regard to my 7 yo daughter living here.
I currently have an older Roland thermal resin and hate that it's wearing out and you can't buy parts but it just gives me an opportunity to improve.
I'd love to hear from you all, especially if anyone has any advice on print-heads for PC-600 I'll keep mine as a backup if I can keep her running.
