Are you in Los Angeles? How much?
To begin, I'm still new but getting way better at screen printing, most of it from reading forums, videos online and of course practice. I have successfully removed and applied emulsion on some screens I bought off a local guy for around $3 with some logos already printed. I then drew up a logo on illy, printed on my wide printer and burn the image on these screens, the tension are weak on each screens (the frame is fine) but they are only to practice my printing techniques on the press. The prints turn out good even with a delicate mesh tension. I have an 6/2 raceway line press with a 16x16 square board (need to upgrade to better boards). Even more important, now I want to make my own screens this including stretching. Evenly important, I heard and seen on youtube using a newman roller frame you can stretch the mesh to a nice tension with soft corners, then glue the mesh to a static frame inside the newman. I want to take this approach forward so I was looking for a newman frame for this reason. Any input?
