Default Odd instructions for a Digitizer

another thread talks about giving measurement instructions to the ten thousandths of an inch.. but what about color instructions such as this one presented this morning to us:

"Berk - pms201 + K (However the bars on either side gradate from 201 build to 0-100-63-85 Sig - pms147 + K"

this was all that was written for a left chest design. I am assuming this is some secret code you screen printers have, but for a digitizer.. .uh.. not so much. lol

this just came in on a 3 yr old design:

"The logo is to big. I want it he same size and the letterin is to fat. and make the key skinner on the bottom"

design is 3.5 inches wide, but no instructions as to what size the client would like. making it smaller will make the lettering automatically thinner as well, so not sure if that will be enough or no.

Oh joy - I am not the only one to get cryptic instructions. I have, in the last 2 days, received jpgs of designs, with the instructions to "make them pocket-sized!" The picture sent this morning was a tiny photo taken with a mobile phone!!!! When I SPECIFICALLY ask for SOME sort of size - ie. max width 9cm - I get the same "pocket-sized" answer. I will do what I want and ANY editing of size will be charged for. (even if it's only ten thousandths of an inch )

EDIT:

"There are thousands of threads left on the back after embroidering, Is it possible to knot and clip all of these so there aren\'t so many threads left to cut at the end?"

They are referring to the tails left on the backside of the embroidery from the trimmers and does not understand why the machine leaves those... why can't the machine trim those

"No address and phone number below the design in a straight line!"

they added the exclamation point... am thinking they mean delete the address and then add the phone number below in a straight line... but could be wrong as the instructions are not clear. The art has the address and number to the side of the logo.

Client writes instructions on a quote telling us what size to quote. A week later they come back wanting to know what size we quoted the design.

"I told you to do the design in 2 colors (white and gold)... the black on the art was to be the black hat showing through... but we messed up 60 hats that were not black because you did not fill in the black areas with thread"

Hard to argue with someone who is so right!!!

Today:
"Please only do ONE file that will work for both regular embroidery and 3D foam puff embroidery"

No problem, feel sorry for all the extra time due to excess stitches on your regular embroidery .
