Default Original Project Idea

If you had an original project idea how would you get the most out of it? Are there companies that will buy your ideas? How about contest you could enter?

I thought up a project something like the burp cloths we all make. It is as useful, it takes only a small amount of fabric, it can be embroidered, and you can make alot of color combos. I am taking them to a craft show this weekend and I know someone will probably copy them by the second day.

I am trying to get my business started and would love to make some capital on these as they are my very first original idea and I may never have another one.

Suggestions???????
