Printing Issue.

I'm having an issue with my DTG. I just upgraded to a Kornit, and the rip software is WAY different than my mimaki. So here is the thing. I have a client that sent me an art file in photoshop format, I printed a bunch of things for her on my mimaki, looks fabulous, now I take the same file and rip it with kornit, and print it onto a dark garment, it looks like crap. She did tweak some areas of the file, to compensate for the white ink of the kornit.

It prints like someone went haywire with the dodge and burn tools in photoshop. I've narrowed the problem down to the clipping masks in the file. It seems to try to print the clipping masks??? Perhaps this is a layer issue? Even so, I've tried flattening all layers and then re-reipping, no go.

Anyone have any ideas? Any thoughts would be appreciated :-)
