I'm thinking about purchasing the singer quantum 200. Anyone with any info. good or bad would be appeciated. My local singer shop kind of discouraged the machine. I've seen many good review. I already have a viking rose. I do embroidery on shirts for our private highschool and would like another machine. Can't afford a commercial system.

There is nothing wrong with the machine, it's a good machine. But, there are a lot of better ones out there, but unfortunately they do cost a heck of a lot more

I have the singer futura. Its a nice machine, good to start out on for sure. Certainly not as advanced as some machines but overall the stitch quality is good, and operating is straight forward. My suggestion to you tho is to go for the 100, ther only difference being the digitizing software included with, so unless you are wanting that software, save yourself a couple hundred dollars on the 100.
The only problem I have had with the machine has come from editing and resaving on the futura software, it has skewed the design a few times and I have ended up with some Picassco-esque designs. So be sure to watch for that, perhaps use something like buzz edit instead. If you have questions about this machine I would be glad to help however I can.For the price its a good machine. |
