question about automatics

Just a question for the pros out their. At what volume do you consider buying an automatic? We added screen printing to our business a year and a half ago and that part of our business is increasing nicely. I'm starting to research automatics, but don't want to jump into something to quick. Any advice would be helpful.

I appreciate all the insight from both sellers and printers. The more information I can collect the better. I have followed this form for the past year. If you were buying a used machine and new very little about automatics would you recommend a service tech inspecting it before purchasing.
