Question on a used baby lock

Hi all I have the opportunity to purchase a 2007 6 needle baby lock embroidery machine- is $3500 too much to spend on this? I want to make sure it's worth the amount I will be paying. They said it was very lightly used in a few hats but fell ill and never really used it.This would be my first multi needle and I will be having to travel about 4 hours to pick it up? Just looking for opinions!

Are you doing Home Embroidery or are you the owner of a shop or wanting to do commercial embroidery. Baby Lock is a home embroidery machine and you are gonna be limited to what you can do on it. It is a good beginners machine but I have a feeling you will want or need something bigger.
