like the vastex VRS - I know there are others - basically you pre-register all the film on the screens - saving time on the press.
do big shops use these types of systems - seems like it could be a good time saver but you would still have to micro in the final anyway would'nt you and a rough registration is easy anyway... comments? oh and while I am at it - I am looking for a good used 6 color either 4 or 6 station josh |

No matter what size the shop...pre-registration is a must for any multi-colour print. I do all my registration on my exposure unit.
I have marks on the glass for my artwork and for the screens. That's pretty cut-and-run, then the press setup is as easy as zero-it-in. Good luck on finding a press...there are quite a few floating around so it shouldn't be long before you find one.......... .

although its not my department (I own the joint) we measure x and y from the inside of the frame - I like the idea of marks right on the glass
I guess if we added pins right on the glass (maybe by epoxy) that would be a pretty cheap fix to test out hmmm... |
