Let's examine the chinese engineering effort. They take an embroidery machine apart and then duplicate the parts and call it xyz. While doing so they figure out how to make changes to certain parts lowering the cost to produce. Why heat treat that part, those springs don't need to be tempered, we can use plastic instead of steel or aluminum and so on.

You're machine can hum along at first but I'll put your new ricoma against a 18 year old zsk, barudan, or tajima and guess who's machine will still be running and have value?

I think its the same when buying a car, if you treat it right, it will last forever!
I did my research before i bought a RiCOMA and take my word. they have come a long way with new innovations that other brands don't have.

Mark
What innovations might those be?

Dear minimalist
We appreciate your comments. If you do a little more research, you will find that RiCOMA is the only company in the industry that is headquartered in the US and owns its manufacturing base in China. You may have seen in the US market that some other machines from China come and go. But only RiCOMA stays here and is still going strong. Why? Because we care about the quality, service and support to our customers. It is simply not true that all the machines from China have the same quality. We have our own R&D and quality control. We have also developed the developed the world’s first ALL-IN-ONE embroidery machine with unique and special features such as:

1. Built-in full digitizing software in the touch screen system
2. Instant online support
3. Preset hoops. Operators will NEVER hit the frames again.

If we were duplicating some other company as you claimed, why would other companies have not achieved this? Our products have been featured in trade publications such as Stitches Magazine and Printwear Magazine. Right now RiCOMA is widely distributed in over 60 countries worldwide. Other brands of machines made in China and distributed in the US are not even close. We are proud of what we are offering to our customers worldwide and will continue to develop the new technology for the industry.

Seeing is believing. We would welcome you or anyone else to stop by at any trade show all over the world so we can show you our products and services and how we are making the impact in the industry. We have been in this business long enough to understand what our customers’ needs are and will always make our best efforts to meet their needs. Our company and our president, Frank Ma, have been named one of the 75 most influential companies and people in the industry two years in a row in 2011 and 2012. Here are the links to review.

thank you Miguel... but unfortunately your company is like Kmart or even JC Penny now... once you have a certain rep it is VERY hard to change that. JCPenny is struggling.. but they already have a rep.. they cannot be equated to nordstroms or even macys.. the damage is done. it just takes years... and even then, good luck.

Miguel,

How would you like to address the other posters who have problems with Ricoma machines?

I never stated that Ricoma takes machines apart for duplication. What I said is that the chinese have a history of taking machines apart and attempting to duplicating them. If Ricoma is engineering their own machines as you have said, then more power to them. What I would like to see on Ricoma's part is to address the users and purchasers on this forum to rectify their issues.

They popped on here one day in 2010 and then nearly three years later to post on this thread... Something tells me they aren't into holding a conversation and addressing the issues.

Putting out fires is hard but can be done. If you let them burn unattended they spread.

Hey Miguel,
It's about time Ricoma started making an attempt to fix their industry perception. Unfortunately, they can NOT fix the past, and for must here, THAT is the Ricoma we all know and hate. The first handfull of years of product shipped here were trash no matter what you want to dispute here. There are many wide ranging causes and or flaws with those machines (versus a top knotch Tajima/Barudan/ZSK machine), and I have had the unfortunate task of trying to make one of those machines run properly at ANY speed over 500 SPM.

I'm glad to see that Ricome is really trying to make the effort to make a top notch machine for the industrial market. Prove all us old gheezers wrong. We welcome your efforts.
