Phelps is seeking an energized and motivated Head Press Operator or Production Manager who will oversee the production of our Screen Printing department utilizing state of the art automatic and manual printing techniques. Great pay, benefits and work environment.

Where: Muscatine, Iowa

Specific Job Duties and Expectations
Oversee Production, and get involved in screen setup and printing as required
Manage floor production schedule and ensure delivery times are being met or exceeded and properly communicated to sales.
Manage production personnel in order to get the best performance from the team
Create and monitor quality standards for performance and product.
Conduct employee training in equipment operations or work and safety procedures, or assign employee training to experienced workers.
Plan and establish work schedules, assignments, and production sequences to meet production goals.
Ensure employees are motivated and driving forward.
Resolve department employee complaints, performance issues.
Create and maintain safety and sanitation regulations.
Inspect materials, products, or equipment to detect defects or malfunctions.
Follow our operations manual to make sure employees are following established standard operating procedures.
Develop and document quality processes in screen print production and adjust the operations manual as needed
Continuously review to improve process in order find inefficiency and poor quality and modify accordingly to gain efficiency and quality.

Qualifications
3-5 years minimum Screen printing experience.
Management/supervisory work experience is a plus
Familiar with current screen prep, exposure and reclamation techniques
Plastisol, Water Based and Discharge printing experience a plus
Automatic press operation experience is a definite plus
Knowledge of standard graphic arts software is a definite plus (Corel, Photoshop, Illustrator, etc)
