Default Screen Print Start Up - Need Help!

My wife and I are looking to start a small side business at home the the entire family can take part in. T-Shirts have always been a big part of the family. How do you get started? What do we need? (What's the minimum equipment to begin printing batches of 10 - 20 t-shirts.) Where are the best resources available? Used equipment, etc. We live in IOWA, so anything midwest located I might be interested in learning more about. Thanks for the help.

Hi,

resources:

goto Youtube and search for Roger Jennings ( http://www.youtube.com/user/rogerjennings ). He has some good videos out there and will address a lot of your questions about the industry and equipment. Awesome man and a GREAT resource.

Also, ScreenPrinters.net is a good source. Very active boards with a lot of good advice going back and forth.

plus,

http://screenprinters.net/product_gr...books_and_dvds

especially something to buy: http://screenprinters.net/product.php?pid=b-htp

Good Luck!

Hi! iowayamaha

Call me or send me your address and I will send you free information. YES! Free, NO COST. I will be more then happy to help you. We are doing exactly what you are
looking for, you can average from $20,000 - $50,000 a year. I am doing this for more
then 25 years with very little store bought equipment. T-shirts are bougth direct from
dealer and you do not have to buy a dozen of each size. The company we deal with will
sell you one shirt in any size if that is what you need.
Example: You get an order for
2 youth small
6 youth med
1 Infant
4 Large
12 Xlarge
1 -6X
1 -5X

I think you get it!

Anyway call me! or send me an address!

the best way is to first figure out a market for what kind of tees you'd like to print. I always start out with what i know best. Once you know, then move on to what you need. It's hard to start when you don't know where to.

i decided to get a 4c 1s station press a few months back.. cost me 225 and came with a screen and some ink and stuff.. the bare essentials to make shirts.. I made a few and found it very fun and easy .. so after watching craigslist for a few more weeks i found a shop going out of biz. i got easily over $10k in equipment and supplies for only $700! so keep your eyes out on your local craigslist.

and if you go to you tube the guy rayonet is also really informative

he works for or owns www.silkscreeningsupplies.com

i learned everything i know from you tube .. been doing it for a couple months now .. and its starting to pick up .. a website helps too .. make up some designs and samples and get them up there so people can see what you can do

www.tinygiantclothing.com is my site .. check it out ..

best of luck !
