Screen Printer / Department Manager

Looking to hire a full time press operator / department manager for a growing screen print and embroidery shop located in Morganton, NC

Specific Job Duties and Expectations
-Oversee Production, and get involved in screen setup and printing as required
-Manage floor production schedule and ensure delivery times are being met or exceeded and properly communicated to sales.
-Manage production personnel in order to get the best performance from the team
-Create and monitor quality standards for performance and product.
-Conduct employee training in equipment operations or work and safety procedures, or assign employee training to experienced workers.
-Plan and establish work schedules, assignments, and production sequences to meet production goals.
-Ensure employees are motivated and driving forward.
-Resolve department employee complaints, performance issues.
-Create and maintain safety and sanitation regulations.
-Inspect materials, products, or equipment to detect defects or malfunctions.
-Follow our operations manual to make sure employees are following established standard operating procedures.
-Continuously review to improve process in order find inefficiency and poor quality and modify accordingly to gain efficiency and quality.

Qualifications
-Minimum of 1 Year Screen printing experience.
-Management/supervisory work experience is a plus
-Familiar with current screen prep, exposure and reclamation techniques
-Plastisol, Water Based and Discharge printing experience a plus
-Automatic press operation experience is a definite plus
-Knowledge of standard graphic arts software is a definite plus but no required (Corel, Photoshop, Illustrator, etc)
