Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

The following is a summary of the essential functions for this job. Other duties may be performed, which are not listed below. Specific activities may change from time to time.

1. Print art files, mix inks, apply emulsion, and burn and prepare screens
2. Operate press and make adjustments as necessary
3. Receiving work order jobs for Silkscreen Printing
4. Examining work orders to determine estimated printing times, ink, and material quantities
5. Designing screen patterns according to customer specification
6. Selecting screen size, degreasing agents and emulsion coatings
7. Loading screen into printer
8. Remove and clean screens
9. Installing and repositioning screen printing plates and pressure roles
10. Calibrating printer before batch is printed
11. Running prints and performing quality checks throughout the printing process
12. Troubleshooting problems as they arise
13. Drying, folding, and packing completed articles after the run
14. Assist in training other employees

Requirements:

1. Prior experience as a Silkscreen Printing Operator, preferably within a commercial printing environment
2. Keen ability to accomplish tasks prior to deadlines, prioritizing in direct alignment of executive requirements
3. Maintain clean, neat, and sanitary work environment at all times
4. Maintain OSHA compliance at all times
5. Perform tasks such as standing, lifting, and walking for at least 8 hours a day
6. Understanding of the importance of quality and efficiency
7. Able to thrive in a team oriented environment
8. Exceptional problem-solving skills, critical thinker with a keen attention to detail
9. Handles sensitive issues with full confidentiality
10. Ability to work with ink and chemicals every day
11. Ability to manually operate large machinery
12. Ability to work nights and weekends if required
