American Silkscreen, INC is currently seeking an Automatic Silkscreen Press Operator to join our team.
Our ideal candidate has several years working experience in the industry. On site training will be provided but applicants should have prior applicable work experience. Applicant should be professional, punctual, able to solve problems on the fly, able to work unsupervised, thrive in a team environment, and have a strong sense of pride in the quality of their work.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
Daily operation of our 3 M&R Automatic screen printing presses
Ability to set up and tear down jobs without supervision
Ability to quickly line up multi-color jobs with micro-adjustments
Understand and perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting
Follow work orders closely and perform tasks in a timely manner
Loading and unloading shirts onto the press efficiently and correctly
Understand the printing process from start to finish
Working with support staff to create an efficient work environment
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
2+ years experience operating an automatic screen printing press
Experience with printing and mixing plastisol ink is required
Experience in water-based inks is a plus, not required
SKILLS AND CHARACTER REQUIREMENTS:
Maintain an orderly and clean working area
Must be reliable and show up on time for work
Strong attention to detail and quality control
Perform within a fast-paced environment
Ability to problem solve and think creatively
Physical ability to stand and operate press for hours at a time
Ability to lift 50+ pounds
Pay range is $22-$25/hour (depending on experience); this is a full-time position with the potential for overtime if desired.
