sewing on side of cap.

I've got a customer that has requested a design with the name of his company on the side of the hat. I have a Toyota 850 with the 270 cap frame. I've never done the side of a hat before. Do I hoop it the same way as usual, then move it on the machine, or do I hoop the cap sideways and then put it on the machine?

You can do it one of two ways. You can hoop it as usual and move it on the machine or you can digitize it so that the machine moves and sew on the side of the hat.
