We have an older 24" Signmasker 2 made by Contec in Wichita, Kansas. Use it to apply premask to vinyl, or to mount vinyl on magnetics, sintra, aluminum etc.

This machine applies the premask tape to vinyl graphics after you have peeled and weeded away the unwanted material. A roll of premask mounts to a carrier at the top of the machine, and then is threaded between two rubber rollers. Adjust the roller pressure so that the mask is gripped tightly, then feed your vinyl graphics through in a constant stream and apply the mask to the vinyl. The rollers not only apply pressure, but as they are driven by a variable speed electric motor, they pull the parts through the machine. Think of this unit as a version of a laminator.
Also, as the rollers can be moved up and down to adjust for variable thicknesses in material, it is a great machine to use to apply vinyl graphics to rigid materials.
