Default Sulky thread

I'm looking for a place to get a good deal on sulky thread, rayon, 40 wt. We can buy it locally from Joann's for $3.99 per spool. Sometimes they do a 50% off sale on thread, but we actually would like to get some now and have no idea when another sale is being planned. Any help from all you experienced embroidery experts.

Default Re: Sulky thread

I can't really help you on the sulky thing, is there a specific reason you are using sulky rayon??? Sulky is very weak thread, and rayon makes it even weaker. I take it you are not using this in a commerical machine?

If you are an individual without a Tax ID for resale, You could try to buy spools from Marathon, they are ok thread and they are the only ones I know of that will sell at wholesale without a Tax ID. you can visit them at www.marathonthread.com they have good prices on thread. They are slightly cheaper than Madeira and R.A.

Hope this helps!
