Question System Suggestions

I will be taking over my boss' business at the beginning of the new year and want to upgrade a lot of stuff. The business has a Melco EMT 10 single head machine and the EDS III software. The computer it's running on is a Windows 98 and I was looking to get a new computer. Does anyone know if the EDS III software will run on a Windows 7 or an XP, or will I need to get a newer software?

If anyone has any suggestions, I would be very appreciative.

Thanks!

Default Re: System Suggestions

windows 98 is as far as you can go with eds III and a ISA card. to upgrade you will have to buy new software and pci card (about $5000 from melco or so i've been told). we still use windows 98 and eds III to digitize then use the saved file and import into Generations embroidery software for fine tuning on an xp machine. as long as the fle extension is .exp you should be okay. generations costs around $1400. alot cheaper than melco's solution.
