Default tajima TMFX II

I have been embroiderying for 10 years and have finally met my match. Have replaced
several reciprocators and all of sudden I can't get the head back on to where the needle
functions. The take up lever responds but the needle dosn't. Any ideas? Hirsch is now
charging for phone support and they haven't been helpful.

is the moving head in correct position?-needle must be in the midle of needle plate hole
can move the heads from first to last needle?

set needle bar lower dead point-178deg-and needle bar upper dead point-0deg
to set needle bar lower dead point you need a gauge-normally delivered with the machine
its a film on hirsch web page(support-product resources-tajima embroidery-TFMX setting the needle bar heigh).the machine is other model but procedure is the same-
do you have parts list?

Hi dgeorge,

It appears that the reciprocator is not picking up the needle bar.

did you set needle bar upper and lower dead point?

look at jump motor.if when you start the machine the motor move in front(and remains in this position) ,is an electrical problem
switch(on/off head) from tension base is in correct position?
for some models is a lever next to jump motor.if the lever is in front, the reciprocator don t pick up the needle bar.move the lever back
this problem is for all needles bars?
DO YOU HAVE PARTS LIST? if not I can send you one
if don t work:
move to last needle
rotate with hand the machine till the reciprocator will be at upper point
look if reciprocator pick up the needle bar connecting stud(look in parts list)
if not, move a litle up the upper dead point stopper, till reciprocator will pick up the needle bar connecting stud
