Default Thermo Film on Polyester and Dri-Fit material

How do you apply Heat transfer material on Polyester jackets or Dri-Fit Hoodies without leaving the outline of the platen on the clothing. I have cut and applied stahls thermo film material to a Polyester dri-fit hoodie and it now has a large square on the front. How do you do it without leaving the square?

I'd try changing your transfer media. Stahls is probably the best when it comes to odd surface media matching; i've spent a countless amount of hours on the phone with them regarding strange post press results.
Call them up and tell them your issue, chances are they have a low heat / cool peel media that they can match you up with.
