hi im brian, embroidery machine tech...neo is a good little machine fast and quiet, but still in my eyes not a heavy duty machine, it also doesnt have a very large sewing field, also user friendly

I have a Neo. Its been a great machine. The sewing field is large enough for most items. The only time that was an issue was when doing some stiff customer-supplied bags. My primary concern is how it receives design data. The original Neos came with a floppy disk reader. Some of those readers have broken and needed to be replaced (my 6-year-old reader is still working). The replacement cost is just under $300.00. These machines can also receive design information through a cable but there can be issues with that. In the long run that may be the best option because eventually 3 1/2 disks will be outdated. Before purchasing a used Neo I would call Hirsch to get an understanding of all the costs involved in upgrading a used Neo (both hardware and software) if the machine/software hasn't already been upgraded.
