Which platform should you choose if you are planning to start an online store.
- Magento
- Opencart
- WooCommerce
- Virtuemart
- Shopify
- Custom Store

Alex,
I'd say out of the choices you've listed, I'd go with Shopify. Though I'd recommend checking out BigCartel. I'm a fan of their organized and easy to navigate back-end

Hi, yes, I would love to have an online store since it is the easiest way to spot our target market in selling our goods. For me, I would have chosen the custom store. My plan would probably fit there. But as for now, I'm still contemplating about it. Anyone here that would have an idea which is the best among the platforms mentioned above? I'll be probably selling out customized shirts designed by my daughter

That is sweet, paltrysweet (oh, oh that's redundant ... lol) My last work was with bosley - you know - for hair - and I decided to stop working for a bit because my son needs me at home and we've recently moved too, so it is taking some adjustment for him, which is why I am thinking of not pursuing other work right now. The problem is, I cannot think of online work comparable to what I used to do, so I guess I'm going to my next passion - books! Have you had success in amazon or ebay? Where else can I sell books?

I'm hearing a lot of good feedback about Shopify. You can check their blog site to help you out with your business. If may I also add, you may also want to consult an online marketing professional or a web designer who can also help you design your online store and at the same time they may be able to assist you with in doing SEO. They can assist you to boost your google page rank.
