Re: Thinking of Starting an Embroidery Business
We are running 3 Tajimas, a 4 head, 2 head and a single head. We are in the process of purchasing an additional 2 head. We have only had 1 semi major problem in 4 1/2 years and that was a main drive motor that sounded like a bearing going bad. Motor replaced under warranty. There have been some consumable parts replaced such as recipricators and tension disc plates and a couple of drive gears for the hook assemblies. These parts are designed to wear and be replaced in order to protect the whole machine.
I highly recommend "ANY" machine that has it's own built in computer. I do not like a machine that needs an external computer connection that contains the operating software that runs the machine. This to me is a handicap, if your computer has a problem then you are totally out of operation. You are unable to work on any designs and unable to operate your machine. Most of the other brands only need you to put in a design and off they run with their built in systems. IMO this is the only way to go. We have our designs on a USB Drive, a CF Card and on floppy disks. In this way all we do is load a design and off we go.
I guess that I also like solid steel main parts also.
