Exclamation Threadbreaks with AMAYA? Anyone Know About These Machines?

I heard that the AMAYA XT has some issues with thread break. Actually I have seen many threads in forums that discuss that as an issue with AMAYA. I am looking at buying a new AMAYA BRAVO or used AMAYA XT 2008 or at least I am considering it as one of my options. The other is a used 2008 SWF 1501c any advice on these machines I would greatly appreciate.
Thanks

I have to run 4 old 2003 amaya's. The thread tends to break alot when the tension wheels need to be greased and cleaned. They dont run well if the bobbin casings are dirty with lint, must keep them clean. I'm not familar with the new machines, I know they have made some changes since the 2003 models. Could be your not on the right tension adjustment. Hope that helps you.

I used to have an Amaya XT, Only had it for six month and sold it due to extensive thread breaks. It drove me ****, I am now using tajima neo 2 and very happy with it. I can plug in a 100,000 stitches design push the start button and walk away until its complete. SWF's are also a much better option over the Amaya XT.

Hope this input helps. if you have not made a purchase yet.

Regards

I have a 2007. I don't have a problem with thread breaks at all.

IMO, thread breaks with the Amya may have something to do with the auto tension feature. I personally have no hands on with them but will say that ANY machine that has a bit of a dirt, grit, lint or lube problem will usually give you problems with thread breaks.

My personal dislike of the Amyas is that they need an aftermarket computer to load their operating system into for the machine to run, I much prefer a machine that all I need to do is load a design and hit go. Much better for business in case your computer bites the dust as you can save all your stitch designs on a floppy, usb or some flash card and load your machine from that.
