Default Twin/Redundant 7.5hp 3 phase Air Compressor set

State/Province: Outside the U.S./Canada
City: Houston, TX
If you are out of air, you are out of business. That's the fact with pneumatic equipment.

I have a semi-custom redundant 7.5hp air compressor rig for sale.

Twin Schrader industrial 7.5hp low-speed air compressors. These run at 600rpm and are very durable.

These are setup in an A/B configuration and wired appropriately. Can run on a single circuit. This allows you to run A on even days and B on odd days. Or when one fails you can switch to the other and keep running.

These were originally from a Discount Tire where they were professionally maintained. The original tanks had an issue so they were removed. I bought them from the dealer and built a custom frame for them that was compact and could be moved if needed. If you had the space, mounting them side by side is much easier for maintenance.

They are in good working order. Each unit has an integrated low oil switch that will cut power if the oil level should drop. They are two stage units with rotary valves. These are very durable, industrial units. Original list price is $7500 for this twin compressor kit.

Yes, rotary screw is quieter, but when it breaks you are done. Rotary screw is very expensive to maintain. Reciprocating compressors are very easy to maintain and as long as you change the oil and filters they are pretty durable.

This is very heavy and should be picked up by a box truck with a strong lift gate.

I did replace one of the motors. One turned out to be bad when I put them under power.

Currently in storage, and selling because I shut down my print shop.

A separate receiver tank is also available. Tank is 80 gallons and was purchased last year to go with these compressors.

A pair of after coolers are included on a utility stand. A fan should be mounted on the after coolers. I relocated them to make it easy to keep them clean for this particular storefront install.

3 Phase 230v. Motors are compatible with 460v but I'm not sure about the control/switch assembly.

Compressors: $1500 firm.
Tank $300 firm.

Pickup in Houston, TX. No forklift is available, liftgate and truck required.

bump. Will consider separating units if you need a solid 7.5HP compressor.
