This will probably sound a bit pessimistic but if you have a Really Small budget, even if you get a machine at an excellent deal. Postage & Handling charges for these machines is relatively expensive (as low as $150 for small machines and well over a $1000 for larger ones). Many small organizations make the mistake of thinking that if they did small batches in-house, they would save tons of money. And that would be true if one of the members had a machine and donated its use for the group. But, this is not usually the case!
I hope you get a good deal that will satify your groups need...
But, maybe you could ask someone here for Support in stitching these items for you. Or many local shops will give discounts to Non-Profit Org's if you ask them in advance.
The last thought is if you are only doing logos that are 3.5 - 4 inches square then, maybe a home machine might take care of your needs at a reduced price.
