If my position just got unhinged like yours just did, I'd probably backtrack, make light of the whole context, fold like a cheap tent, and point fingers and random people who no longer "contribute" to this board too ;-).

My position is the post is pertinent, and the complainer didn't have a dog in the fight, however the moderator doesn't agree.... so be it.

The point of the post was help bring to light for newbies or over anxious buyers awareness that all that glitters is not gold, at the auctions or in the DigitSmith used market posts (both brokers & casual sellers).

I still contend the the complainer is with the auction company. On a second note I post may name on every thread, I am not anonymous in my opinions.

You are certainly entitled to your opinion regarding the relevance of this thread being started in the wrong forum. Although, at this point it appears you are very much in the minority, possibly even the only.

I'm curious though, what would an auction company have to gain by pointing out that you posted in the wrong forum. The auction companies don't control the prices at auction, the buyers do. What you have said is that people are paying too much at auction. This isn't a function of the auction company, it's solely up to the buyers to determine what they feel the value of any given piece of equipment is.

You even suggesting folks are paying too much at auction is an insult to the very people you are trying to sell to. And let's be honest, that was the intent of your original post, a sales pitch. It would probably be in your best interest to let this die. But hey, you've got all the rope you need, hang away for all I care.

Wow I thought Fat Bobby was back, tooooooo funny. Guys been on here for 2 years, 2 post about overpriced frames and 8 bashing Bill, one of the most reputable guys here. Doesn't get much better then this.

Bill keep posting. Spoke to a couple of people about those presses, advised them they would go high and figured there would be issues.
