My wife and I just spent a weekend training with Walter Floriani. Wow! What an incredible base of knowledge for embroidery. He has taken digitizing to a new level by simplifying it to its lowest level. He taught the class using his principles that can apply to any digitizing software. I will say however that I loaded the trial version of his software while we were there and was impressed. We have been using Drawings/Wings Modular for the past two years and struggled. I am a Software Engineer by trade and must say that he has even simplified his software to let you focus on the digitizing and not learning another software package. To top it all off the software is only $1299 and you automatically get free upgrades pushed to you when they are available. I am SOLD!

I've been looking at the Digitizing Pro III (mostly because it's cheaper and we don't need everything Embroidery Suite Pro comes with) and was curious what you might have to say about it. I downloaded the demo version and so far I'm pretty satisfied, but I'm curious about the importing abilities, which I'm naturally unable to explore in the demo.

Well, I'm not really trying to import anything. I just wanted to know if that feature is included in the Digitizing Pro III or if I would have to get the Embroidery Suite 2009 to do that.
