Cool want to learn digitizing

Hello,
I am new here and my goal is to find a place to learn digitizing. I have stitch and sew software. I have the Happy Voyager embroidery machine to start out with. I have tried a little bit with the software but find it hard to learn on my own. I am in the Seattle area. If anyone knows a person or place that teaches please let me know. ...Thanks!

Default Re: want to learn digitizing

Thomas Moore (Strawberry Stitch) has written a book, digitizing 101, and also gives online classes:

http://www.strawberrystitch.com/edsol/EDSOL-Theory.php

Stitches magazine http://www.asipublications.com/Stitches/ has helpful articles.

Online embroidery forums can be helpful with general questions.

Watching well-digitized designs run and lots of practice will help.
