Mike, Robert isn't getting you anywhere. If he wanted to be part of the solution it would have been sorted ages ago. Andrew controls the solution and shows no will to make good, but he has the power, so chase him. Best scenario is they never deigned your machine to print that big. They should pay Jeff out and trade you up into his ten col Spectrum. Resolving the head issues on that. That's the only way to get the format IMHO.

I have access to CNC machines, laser, and water jets. I am tempted to get some measurements and some blue paint and fix inkmans machine myself.... lol. How long you want that ***** to print again? lol

What should my company do about being sold a press that prints about four inches less than advertised? Coming on here and reminding Robert of this, is it to much out of line? Should I just ignore the issue and let it slide? Or keep reming Robert and be called a troll for it? Hell he still fraudentaly advertises the press wrong, yet he and Preston have known for almost a year now the specs are wrong, and he wonders why we are trying to warn people.
Inkman you can do what you feel is best for you in regards to contuining to post about your press being not what was advertisied by RWB...if it were me I would keep going on about it until it is fixed or you are somehow compensated for your troubles. All other equipment makers list what the stroke specs are for their machines and all of them fudge a little on that. I mean if M & R or Anatol says that the print stroke is 16" you can rest assured that you can get a little more than that out of it. All of the smart equipment makers advertise their strokes to be a little smaller than what they really are just to CTA and to deliver what they promise. The same applies to other products in this industry as well...look at ink. Standard ink cure time of 350 for 2-3 minutes to reach full cure. How many of you cure ink like that...the true time and temp to cure is less than that but to CTA they advertise it to be more. Even as printers most of you guys do the same thing...."I can have your order done in 7 days" you know it can be done sooner, but you give yourself a little more time so that you can deliver what you promise. The old saying....under-promise and over-deliver is still one of the many keys to sucessful business. It's just a shame that their are sooooo many people in this industry who don't or won't do business that way.

I wouldn't think so. He couldn't catch a break at all when he signed up for that deal. Bummer for him I guess

Didn't help when he threw the press operator under the bus for hitting the e-stop button!

Just to get a few things right here.
a) I`m not a japanese guy, not that there is anything wrong about being Japanese, but as a matter of fact I`m German who is living in Japan with my gorgeous japanese wife and 2 very handsome half japanese half german boys.
b)I find the term "japanese guy" a bit disrespectful, why not saying "japanese customer", "japanese person" or "japanese gentleman"
c)For me the only issue was which press to order, Diamondback XL or S. I never considered ordering anywhere else. Means I approached M&R about this, they never "trolled" me.
d)I`m pretty sure if I would lobby hard enough, M&R would make it happen and ship a XL in less then 12 or even less then 7 weeks. But then I`m not that lobbying kind of person, gentleman, customer or using your terms "japanese guy".
