all the mentioned above have had a hand in this deal. We have heard for a long long time "how passionate" Robert Barnes is about presses and his customer's, this guy has left more people hanging than an wild west court.
The time of my press had around 10 month's already, hell it will have it's first birthday soon and I still won't have it.

If it was my dog in the fight, I would have been
camped out,you know like the occupiers, in the
state attorney's / fed prosicuters office. let them
sort it out, unless the picture is not painted as I
see it.

And no, I'm not talking about P-tex.

Hi Alan, congrats on your new dryer. Peace of
mind, sure goes along way. I hear you loud and
clear. Some people/companies just do npt get it or just
do not care, which is worse. In my opinion, Rich
Hoffman could not have spent a million dollars with
a madison ave. ad agency and gotten as much positve
spin/results as weathering all this schizzle. that is why
if one is going to drop a bomb, the fallout can can do
more damage to the bomber when they fail to understand,
misjudge,or ignore the prevailing winds.

Re: What is an acceptable amount of time to wait for a press.
It depends where its coming from, like an MHM will have longer distribution time than a locally built Lawson for those in the USA. Down under likewise we have to add a couple months shipping to any brand or buy a TAS. But that kind of capital investment isn't generally impulse and required immediately, but rather a managed acquisition with supporting upgrades of complimentary equipment or premises or etc and designed to install at the end of an off-season and around annual cash flows and tax years etc so therefore most people should be able to plan for a longer lead time. That said every business has different management and requirements.

Re: What is an acceptable amount of time to wait for a press.
Over 86% think 12 weeks or less is acceptable.
Thus anything over 12 weeks, its unacceptable for nearly 90% of the people polled.
Sex Panther works 60% of the time, every time.

Re: What is an acceptable amount of time to wait for a press.
I'll throw in time variable vs. model. Popular, more common models should take a bit less. One off or specialty models would take longer. In our laundry biz, 16 weeks from an american manufacturer (Milnor) is common. Same for Chicago Ironers. Unless it's a smaller common washer or ironer. The distributors of foreign tend to have certain models in stock. But if you want, say 480v, you will wait. Makes capital planning and expected need in the future an art or an exact science

Re: What is an acceptable amount of time to wait for a press.
Typical delivery times are usually 4-6 weeks for an automatic from M&R. The time will extend after shows, holidays, and year end inventory shutdown. Presses on our showroom floors can shorten that time if the press fits an order and the customer is needing it sooner. Here at M&R we have a plant in Europe as well that cater to their market so delivery remains the same for Europe and Asia from that plant as the America's from our plants here. Can't speak for others.

Really, how come Jeff only waited a couple of days. Did he get someone else's machine and they got bumped back as a publicity stunt, because we could be led to believe that he got a ten colour nearly as a stock item. Is that because he went standard, for a cancelled order or something? I was nearly under the impression the leadtime was down to a couple of weeks maximum.

I think that one flew right over his head. My Fusion dryer was the one off the showroom floor and I received it in less than a week.
