I like the fact that "someone" voted 26+ weeks. LOL

For the record, I didn't vote as I don't feel qualified to vote... but, if I could just "less than 26 weeks", I'd have picked that one for SURE! Who wants to wait 7 months for a press?!

We just ordered a Diamondback XL - time from order to estimated shipping date is 9 weeks. It doesn't seem unreasonable but I am slightly disappointed that it missed the often quoted 4-6 weeks.

That happens from time to time I am sure.

But let's put it in perspective. A lot of others are 8-12 weeks best case. Others are quoting a few months and it turns into 6 months, a year, or more. Things could be worse.

I think in a few cases you can PAY and never get your press.

Didn't that happen to some poor guy out on the West Coast about a year and a half ago? I remember seeing something about that here.

I heard that story a while back. I think they ordered several larger autos, I think 3 or 4. I'm not sure how much money was given as a down payment or if deposits were made, or hell, perhaps they were paid for in full. However the money exchange went down or if the transaction was sour or on the straight and narrow, that shop never got a machine. They somehow managed to get by, I think M&R shipped them a few Challenger III's to go along with their already huge number of autos and they are still cranking out tees.

What a story.

Wow, that's the most info any of us have ever heard about that bad deal. Up until recently it's been more of an urban legend, and the people who knew the most about it weren't talking for obvious reasons. That's unbelievable that something like this can happen more than once. I wonder who's fault that first one was? This kind of s h I t pis ses me off.
